The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro are expected to have several significant camera upgrades that focus on deploying larger sensors. And before you start, Apple put pressure on its suppliers.
iPhone 13 component orders correspond to the entire Android business
DigiTimes reports that Apple has asked Taiwanese suppliers of voice coil motor (VCM) components to increase its production capacity by 30-40% to match iPhone 13 Apple is asking so much from its suppliers that shipments of iPhone VCM components will match orders for the entire Android market in 2021. The latter is partly due to the crash of Huawei.
Such high order numbers from Apple are usually not possible. But the company is said to be working on updating the rear camera settings and the 3D sensors used in Face ID, both of which rely on VCM.
iPhone 13 / Pro: Expected camera updates
One of the upcoming camera updates for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max is an updated ultra-wide camera with a wider f / 1.8 aperture. There is a small chance that the new camera may come in regular iPhone 13 and 13 minis.
One change that is almost guaranteed to get all four models is the stabilization of the sensor replacement. The latter made his debut iPhone 12 Pro Max and allows for substantially better stabilization, which in turn improves performance in low light, so these may well be some the best camera phones of 2021.
