Reincarnated version of PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India, may finally be on its way to India after last September’s ban. This was confirmed by the South Korean company Karfton, which took over the publishing business in India from the Chinese company Tencent after last year’s anti-Indian sentiment in China.
And now that a new game called Battlegrounds Mobile India is ready to launch, it seems like we’re getting more and more information about how much of the original game it has retained.
The latest promo of Battlegrounds Mobile India’s social media handle shows a very familiar view to PUBG Mobile players. Pictured is the Ban Tai location on the PUBG Mobile map in Sanhok. This was the first small map to be introduced in the game, with extensive jungles and a cluster of three islands.
Our previous report, we talked about guesses that the game could release in June. The new theory comes from the Battlegrounds Mobile India teaser, which features a level 3 helmet surrounded by a ring of light. This image resembles an eclipse, in which the moon blocks the sun and forms a so-called Diamond ring. The third level helmet plays an object that blocks the light source.
People now assume that this image could be a reference to the game’s release date, which could be June 10, which is the Annular Solar Eclipse date. But we must mention that there is no evidence or indication from officials or an officially registered game that we can expect a launch in this window. Because of their silhouettes, silhouettes are a very common part of teaser campaigns.
But on the plus side, as Krafton has unveiled the game’s new logo and name, while also renewing its social media presence, it may well be on its way to releasing the game soon. Therefore, launching a game about a month away on June 10th doesn’t seem too unrealistic.
