Netflix has thrown your subscription dollars into some high-budget action movies over the past couple of years, most of which have landed boredly. However, Gina Prince-Bythewood’s Old guard proved to be great fun when it was released in the summer of 2020, and it has now been announced that the sequel will be locked and downloaded ready to shoot next year.
Variety reveals that Charlize Theron has told them that the script is complete, and Old guard the sequel will go in front of the cameras in the first quarter of 2020. There are very few details besides that, but the Oscar-winning star continued that Marwan Kenzari and Luca Marinelli will also return.
