Blank pages in the document can give an unprofessional impression to journalists or potential employers. Microsoft Word is known to create blank pages in a document. Before pressing the Submit button, be sure to delete them whenever possible.
Our goal is to help others avoid the frustration associated with blank pages. Because Microsoft Word is a popular document creator, we’ve put together the following guide to help you remove unwanted pages if they grow in this word processor. If you also need to remove a page with text and graphics, our guide will also include instructions.
How to delete a Word page with text and graphics
Step 1: Select the page you want to delete
The first step in deleting a page is to make sure the page is selected. The last thing you want to do is delete the wrong one. Either scroll to the page or use Mene function (Ctrl + G In Windows, Option + CMD + G MacOS).
Once you find a page, click or tap it anywhere to select it.
Step 2: Select the entire page
It may sound like you’ve already done this step, but this is so that Word knows that you want to delete the entire page, not just part of its contents. Open Mene function (Ctrl + Gor Option + CMD + G if you are using a Mac) and type page that Enter the page number box. Then select Mene (or press Come in keyboard) and then Closed.
Step 3: Delete the page
Microsoft Word does not have a separate page removal tool, but now that we have selected the entire page, we can easily remove it. Double-check that you have selected the entire page you want to delete, and then press Remove key.
Delete a blank page in Word
Most text editors, including Word, tend to create blank pages at the end of a document for no apparent reason. By removing them before you trigger it on your boss (here is how to remember it if you don’t) or a printer is usually a good idea. To make the process as fast as possible, you can use a couple of quick ways.
Phase 1: You can find blank pages by opening Navigation from the box. To do this, select Show from the main menu and make sure Navigation pane the box is selected. This should open a new column on the left that shows all the pages in the document. If not, be sure to choose Pages tab.
Step 2: Scroll through the list to find blank pages that you want to delete. Select one and double-click or tap it to jump directly to it.
Step 3: Hold on Ctrl + Shift + 8 In Windows or Command + 8 if you use paragraph marks visible on a Mac.
Step 4: Click and drag to select paragraph characters, or hold down the arrow keys Transfer key. To delete track markings, press Remove key, but this also closes the blank page completely.
You can place paragraph marks at the bottom of the document if you think you will use them again later. Once you’ve reached the correct placement of the paragraph marks, you can change them by increasing or decreasing the font size. Click Home tab and set “1” Font size and press Come in lock size. When you have made all the necessary changes, you can hide the paragraph marks again by holding Ctrl + Shift + 8 In Windows or Command + 8 On a Mac.
