Facebook streamlines settings in the mobile app new redesign it starts from Wednesday. Visually, the new layout looks much less confusing, and the individual settings have no descriptions, so you see more on a page-by-page basis.
Facebook has also changed the organization of the settings itself. The company has reduced the number of categories of regulations and renamed them, according to the blog post, so you now see six categories of settings: Account, Preferences, Audience and Visibility, Permissions, Your Information, and Community Standards and Legal Principles. Some settings have also been moved so that they are related, Facebook says.
You’ll see the new look on Android, iOS, the mobile network, and Facebook Lite. You may already have a redesign – I just checked the Facebook app on the iPhone 12 Mini and it downloaded. It was also present on the mobile network for me.
