FX has chosen Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) and Kate Mara (Teacher) in a limited series of crime dramas Category ’09 about the FBI agent class in the near future, where artificial intelligence dominates the criminal justice system. The series of eight episodes created Murder of Gianni Versace: American Crime StoryTom Rob Smith, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson.
Category ’09 follows “a group of FBI agents who graduated from Quantico in 2009 and reunited after the death of a mutual friend. The three-decade series, which tells of three intertwined schedules, explores the nature of justice, humanity, and the choices we make that will ultimately define our lives and heritage. “
Henry introduces Tayo Miller, who is “one of the greatest and most unusual agents to ever join the Bureau, a man who doesn’t just want to make his mark on the institution, but do it all over again.”
Mara introduces Amy Poet, “a woman who never imagined joining the world of law enforcement and finding herself in the midst of her key moment of change.”
