Getting OnePlus 9R OxygenOS in India with Camera, Gallery, System Enhancements


In India, the OnePlus 9R will receive an update that will bring some system-wide improvements as well as updates for Notes, OnePlus Games, Gallery and Camera. The update is included in the May 2021 Android Security Patch. The OnePlus 9R has now been launched only in India and China, and the official change log will continue to update only in India. The smartphone was launched in March 2021 in conjunction with OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, and features Android 11-based OxygenOS.

Domain update OnePlus 9R was announced message in the OnePlus Community Forum. The phone is only available in India and China, and while the former uses OxygenOS, the latter launches ColorOS by default. Since the blog post only talks about the OxygenOS update for OnePlus 9R, it can be assumed that the update is currently only available on Indian phones.

OnePlus brings with it a number of system improvements, such as fixing a notification issue after muting media audio, interface issues in free-form windows, and some common issues and improving system stability. OnePlus also fixed a problem in Notes where newly saved notes were not synced to the shelf in a timely manner.

Together, OnePlus Games got a better overall user experience. The gallery has got an improved image preview smoothness. Lastly, the camera has improved stability and shooting performance, as well as fixed an issue for abnormal images in Nightscape mode.

OnePlus bundles the May 2021 Android security patch with an update that will be implemented in batches. The update rollup number is OxygenOS The size of the update is not yet known, but updating your smartphone is still recommended when it is connected to a strong Wi-Fi connection and charging. To check for an update manually, go to Settings> System> System Updates> Download and Install.

OnePlus 9R configurations

Launched in March 2021, the OnePlus 9R will be operational OxygenOS, based on Android 11. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD + OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC, which is combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The four rear cameras are configured with a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 5-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. For selfie, it uses a 16 megapixel sensor. The smartphone has a 4500 mAh battery with Warp Charge 65 quick charge support.
