Ghost of Tsushiman multiplayer, Legends, gets new free content and a standalone release from Sony and developer Sucker Punch announced on Wednesday. The standalone release will be available on September 3 for $ 19.99 / € 19.99 / £ 15.99 for both PS4 and PS5.
On the same day, a large new 2v2 mode called Rivals is introduced Legends. This is how Darren Bridges, a senior game designer at Sucker Punch, describes it on the blog:
In the competition, two teams of two compete to defeat waves of enemies. With each enemy you defeat, you collect a Magatama that allows you to damage another team. For example, you can use Magatama for shadows to prevent your opponents from shopping, cursing (sanitary sewer, exploding bodies, etc.), Hwacha fire, and more. Once you’ve spent enough Magatama, you can unlock the Final Stand waves. Fill these before the opposing team to win!
Alongside competitors, Legends you also get the Gear Mastery system to complement your gear. According to bridges:
Players who have earned 110 level gears can now tie it into a category and activate “Mastery Challenges”. This allows the Ki level of the gear unit to be upgraded to 120 and finally another additional seat to be opened! When you activate Mastery Challenges, you can also unlock new abilities and new techniques for each class.
Sucker Punch will also release an update to the destination Legends August 20, the same day as publication Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, which includes balancing Survival mode. And the developer promises it Legends receive “new content every week from September 10 to October 1,” including a new map for competitors.
If you take a separate Legends and you want to play Ghost of Tsushiman single player campaign, you can upgrade Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Which includes new island to explore and more animals to be ironed, $ 40 / € 50 / £ 44 on PS4 or $ 50 / € 60 / £ 54 on PS5.
