Long-running rumors on Twitter, Reddit and various forums seem to be true: Rockstar Games is currently revamping three of the icons Grand Theft Auto (GTA) games, Kotaku reported. Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive took advantage of DMCA depreciation for classic GTA modes that had been removed from the Internet before inform it is currently developing three remastered games.

According to the report, Rockstar is reforming Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto IIIand Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, With Unreal engine. Newer versions of these games are said to have a mix of “ new and old graphics ”, an updated interface with classic icons, ensuring that newer performances remain true to PS2-era GTA games.

According to the report, three GTA remasters are currently in the final stages of development. According to cited sources, Scottish studio Rockstar Dundee has taken responsibility for developing remastered games and the next generation. GTA V ports will be launched later this year. Dundee has worked before Dismantling 2, Disassembly 3 and helped develop it Master Chief Collection.

Originally, Rockstar had packaged these rematches together to give them to players who bought next-generation gates GTA V and GTA Online as a bonus or thank you gift. As plans change, the revamped titles are scheduled to be released from late October to early November on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Switch, PC, Stadia and mobile phones.

PC and mobile ports may be released next year because the company may first develop console ports. The three games can be published in one package and sold digitally. Rockstar also plans to develop new gateways for classic games, such as Red Dead Redemption. However, this decision is contingent on the sale of GTA reissues.

So far, Rockstar has only plans Grand Theft Auto games and GTA V next generation gates. The games will be released later this year on various platforms, including the Nintendo Switch console.
