Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that Toyota Innova Crysta prices will increase by 2% from 1 August. Depending on the option, this is an increase of Rs 33,000 to Rs 49,000 in the showrooms of Toyota’s hot-selling vans. Currently, Toyota Innova Crysta prices start at Rs 16.52 lakh and rise to Rs 24.59 (Ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Toyota says this price increase is a measure to offset rising production costs. These costs usually include the price of raw materials, logistics and other related expenses. However, Toyota says it has sought to reduce the impact of spiral production costs on potential buyers.
Toyota launched the facelift Innova Crystan in India in November last year. MPV has been at the heart of the company’s business in India along with the Toyota Fortuner SUV, and a mechanically coupled Toyota Hilux crane will soon be added to the range.
Toyota Innova Crysta engines were previously upgraded to BS6 specifications and will remain unchanged here. These are the 2.7-liter petrol, which produces 166 hp and 245 Nm, and the 2.4-liter diesel, which produces 150 hp and 343 Nm with a five-speed manual transmission (360 Nm with a six-speed automatic transmission). The petrol engine is also available with the same transmission options.
