Google has been rumored to be launching the Google Pixel 5a mid-range phone for some time. There have been several rumors and leaks about the successor to Pixel 4a, and the latest leak is polite Android police illuminates more device details.

New data for Google Pixel 5a was leaked

Pictures of Google Pixel 5a components sent to phone repair shops suggest that the Pixel 5a model is similar to the Pixel 4a. It will likely have a square rear camera module and a compact design. The fingerprint sensor and the Google logo are expected to appear on the back panel.

The difference is expected to be a grooved power button instead of a pastel-colored button and a rubber coating, unlike its predecessor’s hard plastic. It also has a 3.5 mm audio connection at the top.

The report also reveals that the Pixel 5a has a 4680 mAh battery, the largest seen in a Pixel phone. It is possible that it also supports fast download functions.

For other details, the Google Pixel 5a is expected to include a punch screen, just like the 4a. Google is likely to launch both 4G and 5G versions of the Pixel 5a, but it is not yet known whether both options will be available in all markets.

The device is expected to be powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G or Snapdragon 750G chip, and is expected to deliver 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, as in previous models. There are also likely to be a number of improvements to camera performance, e.g.

According to the report, Google Pixel 5a is expected to launch tomorrow, August 17th. However, Google has not yet confirmed the release date for Pixel 5a.
