Before we begin explaining the process, it is important that you back up your data.

  2. On your iPhone, go to Settings> General> Software Update.

  3. If a new update is available, the details of the iOS update and its change log will be mentioned. When you are satisfied, click Download and install option. The download starts now. The speed depends on the speed of your internet connection.

  4. When the download is complete, tap install now. You can also tap later and select Install today or Remind me later. If you tap Install today, just plug in the appliance before going to bed. Your device will automatically update overnight.

  6. When the installation is complete, iPhone restarts.

  7. If you’re using iOS 12 or later, iPhone can also automatically update overnight while it’s charging. Go to to turn on automatic updates Settings> General> Software Update> Customize Automatic Updatesand then turn on the power Install iOS updates. Even after you enable this, you may need to install some updates manually.
