Comedian Iliza Shlesinger (Immediate family) will be seen next in romantic comedy Good for paper For Netflix. Shlesinger wrote the film with Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars) starring him and Kimmy Gatewood (Babysitting club). Watch the trailer below …
Good for paper follows Andles Singer of Shlesinger, who “always put his stand-up career first, and although dating became easy, love was not a priority … until he met Dennis, a strange nerd with a disarming charm that entices him to let go his guard down … His best friend Margot isn’t convinced he looks like it, and he urges Andrea to take wild goose runs to reveal who Dennis really is. ”
Starring also Good for paper on Margaret Cho (Margaret Cho: PsyCHO), Rebecca Rittenhouse (Once upon a time … in Hollywood), Tyler Cameron (Single parents) and Taylor Hill (Broken Hearts Gallery).
“I wanted to write something fun, unique and relative. The comedian turns real life into art, so I shared my weird story and I had fun doing it. The beginning of the cathartic release became a passionate project in which I put a lot of comedy and heart, ”Shlesinger said of his first written film.
Good on Paper premieres on Netflix on June 23rd.
