We’re not saying they’ve been discontinued, but if you go to the Google Web Store US and Canada, you will find that there does not seem to be an option to buy it second generation genuine wireless Pixel Buds. Its newer Pixel Buds A series are still available, but Pixel Buds’ own list has disappeared.
Google is not officially saying whether the second generation of Pixel Buds is running out. What does it will confirm that they are not currently in stock in the Google Store in the U.S. and Canada and that they do not have additional stock. “Some third-party dealers may still have stocks available and they are still on sale in other markets because the stock allows,” the spokesman says. “When inventory allows,” it definitely makes it sound like the buds are nearing the end of their lives, but like I said, Google refuses to say “stopped.”
Android police reports that the buds are still available in Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain and the United Kingdom. Sure enough, on the Google Store in the UK Pixel Buds is still available, although for third party retailers John Lewis lists them with the note that “there is unlikely to be more stock in this product.”
Ultimately, these are a lot of signs that second-generation Pixel Buds are on their way about a year after sale. But given their average battery life and ongoing reports of connectivity issues, we can’t say we’re too surprised to see them go. If you are the current owner, Google says “you will continue to receive ongoing operational support, software fixes, and critical security updates.”
