Jason Momoa co-wrote the story of Aquaman 2, assuring filming will begin in July

Directed by sequel to James Wan Aquaman Currently in the pre-production of DC and Warner Bros., star Jason Momoa has revealed that he wrote the story Aquaman 2 while confirming that filming will begin in July.

“When we finished the first one, I went with my writing partner and dreamed of the second one and went in and came up with an idea,” Momoa said in an interview Drew Barrymore exhibition. “The best I can give you is that I love it so much that I was involved in writing it. And so, we did the first treatment and then James and our original author. [David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick] stopped it. And all our hearts are in it. Instead of getting the script and doing it, your directors and writers will encourage you 100%. So it’s interesting to me and I’m excited to go there. I’m leaving in July and we’re starting to shoot. “

While the plot details are currently being obscured, we know the film will once again be directed and written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, and Momoa will repeat his role as Arthur Curry / Aquaman alongside Amber Heard in Mera and newcomer Pilou Asbaek (The throne game) in an undisclosed role.

The release date for Aquaman 2 is currently December 16, 2022.
