After his explosive and controversial debut film Raw, French filmmaker Julia Ducournau is back with another mysterious film. Titan is on its way to the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where it will compete for Palmu d’Or.
Little is known about the project, and the studio behind the Neon film will only publish a definition Titan: “Highly heat and corrosion resistant metal with high tensile strength alloys and often used in medical prostheses due to its strong biocompatibility.”
With Titan, Ducournau is one of four female directors competing in the Palmus d’Or competition in Cannes in 2021. You can find Ildikó Enyed The story of my life, Mia Hansen-Løve and Bergman Island, and Catherine Corsini, who premieres The break In Cannes at the festival.
Titan is a somewhat noteworthy entry this year as Ducournau will compete for Palmus d’Or only thanks to its second lead director. Can a French filmmaker shock viewers to win this most prestigious award at the festival?
