The throne game alum Lena Headey has most recently joined HBO’s upcoming Watergate mini-series Plumbers of the White House, which follows a sad political scandal by Richard Nixon during his presidency. He joins Woody Harrelson (Venom: Let there be massacre), Justin Theroux (Based on sex) and Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) series.
Plumbers of the White House tells “the true story of how Nixon’s own political saboteurs and Watergate directors, E. Howard Hunt (Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Theroux), accidentally overthrew the presidency they eagerly sought to protect.”
Headey plays Dorothy Hunt. A mother of four and an active asset to the CIA, Dorothy tries to keep her family together, clinging to the catastrophic events of her husband (Harrelson).
Plumbers of the White House is a co – production of HBO and wiip created by Vice chairman producers Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck. Also coming Vice chairman is David Mandel, who directs the series and lead products with Gregory, Huyck and Frank Rich. David Bernard also produces alongside The District Poison directed by Ruben Fleischer.
