Mads Mikkelsen says the Indiana Jones 5 script is “all I hoped it was”

Last month it was announced that Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Rogue One) was set to join actors in the long Fifth Episode Indiana Jones franchise, and now the Danish actor has broken the silence in his latest award.

In an interview Collision, Mikkelsen revealed that he was so excited to join the project that he watched the first one again Indiana Jones while teasing that the script is “all I wanted it to be.”

“I’m very, very excited about it … I looked again lost treasure hunters one day it’s so well done and so charming, and it’s such a great storytelling. So yes, it’s a great honor to be a part of the franchise program I grew up with … I’m in a happy situation where they let me read the script before. And yes, that was all I wanted it to be, so it was great. “

Mikkelsen went on to explain how he is allowed to help create his own character, while he discussed how franchising surrounds Ford’s “straight man” character with colorful characters.

“I think I’ve been invited to create a character, I think everyone wants it. That’s why they choose certain actors who they think are capable of inventing certain things, and it’s going to be collaborative as always. Interesting enough, again a bit like Riders of Justice, Indiana There’s always some kind of genre in Jones, there’s something a little bigger than life, almost back to the 30s style of Peter Lorre, and then you have Indiana Jones, who’s kind of a straight man, but he produces a lot of fun and interesting things, but some movies have different types of characters. “

While plot information is currently being held at Disney and Lucasfilm, we know that Mikkelsen will appear alongside Harrison Ford in Indyna for the fifth and final time, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Flea bag) and Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: The age of Ultron) – whose roles are also kept secret.

Indiana Jones 5 Director James Mangold directs Harrison Ford’s fifth and final voyage, with archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones and Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall serving as producers, while John Williams composes the score again. The film is currently scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.
