, this lucky, lucky guy had pre-ordered the tablet when reservations began on April 30th. As the embargo on inspections has not yet been lifted, Reddit members asked questions mainly about the new mini-LED display included in this slate variant. The owner of the device said the new mini-LED, the Liquid Retina XDR display, is “… like the OLED that Apple has calibrated for color looks good.”
He also said, “The colors look better … They’re both great displays. I just wanted a higher aspect ratio and (assumed) longevity than an OLED display.” He also took a couple of videos that we have embedded in this story.
With a 5m Apple M1 circuit with 16 billion transistors, the iPad Pro (2021) runs up to 50% faster than previous generation models, according to Antutu and Geébench benchmark tests. You may not have been excited about the tablet over the years, but the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with mini-LED display (the 11-inch unit has an OLED panel) may have to die over such a device for the first time since November 2015, when the OG iPad Pro was published.
Of course, Apple is to commend the pandemic for the increased demand for iPads that the company saw last year. When employees work and children work from home, after hours of work, both used their iPads to stream games, music, movies, sports, and more. Whether the new recovery will continue with the U.S. and other developed countries recovering from the COVID-19 outbreak is unclear, but it will give tablet manufacturers a reason to continue to produce high-end tablets in the future.
And let’s not forget that the Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro tablets support 5G. This is the first time one of Apple’s tablets will connect to a 5G signal.
