Xiaomi has announced a 20,000 mAh power bank with fast charging technology. The Mi HyperSonic power bank, established under the Mi portfolio, is advertised as Mi’s most efficient and versatile power bank. The power bank promises a fast charging speed of 50 W and has triple ports that allow users to charge multiple products simultaneously.
In addition to product images Mi HyperSonic looks quite high and appears to have a matte finish. It measures 157.3 x 73.5 x 27.5 mm and has a three-port design that includes USB-C + two USB-A ports. USB Type-A ports provide 15W output in dual-connection mode and can deliver up to 22.5W of fast charge in single-connection mode. In addition to the fast-charging 50 W smartphones, the new power bank can also quickly charge your laptop at 45 W (PD 3.0).
Xiaomi claims that a 50 W power bank can start a typical 4500 mAh smartphone battery in just ~ 1 hour for 5 minutes. The heavy-duty power bank itself supports 45 W charging and comes with a USB-C charging port. Xiaomi mentions that a 20,000 mAh battery can be fully charged in 3 hours and 50 minutes.
Mi HyperSonic is matt black and made of PC + ABS material. From a safety point of view, the 16-layer chip model of the power bank offers short-circuit protection, temperature protection, input voltage overvoltage protection, electrostatic protection, battery overcurrent protection, overcharge protection, etc.
As with some previously launched power banks, the Mi Hypersonic power bank also has a low-power charging mode that allows you to charge low-power devices such as Bluetooth headsets, fitness bands, smart watches, etc. The low-power mode can be activated simply by double-tapping the power button.
If you’re planning to buy a heavy-duty power bank with quick-charge capabilities, the Mi HyperSonic is worth considering. It can charge your smartphone, laptop, smart speakers and smart wearable. The Mi HyperSonic Power Bank 20000 mAh is available at a crowdfunding price of Rs. 3499 at Mi.com today, July 30, 2021.
