“With Windows 365, we’re creating a new class: the cloud computing,” said Satya Nadella, president and CEO of Microsoft. “Just as applications were brought to the cloud with SaaS, we are now bringing the operating system to the cloud, providing organizations with more flexibility and a secure way to give their employees more productivity and connectivity no matter where they are.”
Microsoft Windows 365 availability, pricing
Windows 365 is available on a variety of devices, including Mac, iPad, Linux, and Android smartphones. It will be available from August 2nd. Windows 365 has two cloud configurations: Windows 365 Business and Windows 365 Enterprise.
Microsoft has not announced pricing for subscription-based Windows 365.
Microsoft Windows 365 features
Microsoft claims that Windows 365 provides the same security, look, and feel as a traditional Windows computer through an application or web browser. Users can access Windows 10 and Windows 11 from an application or web browser.
Microsoft Windows 365 helps large organizations run smoothly, especially during an ongoing pandemic. According to the company, “seasonal workers can get around Teams in and out of them without the logistical challenges of releasing new hardware or protecting personal equipment – allowing the organization to scale more efficiently and securely during busy times.” With this cloud computing, companies don’t have to manage hardware problems manually, which is usually done by the IT department.
The company adds that it also considers the innovative Azure Virtual Desktop service for organizations “with deep virtualization experience and who want more customization and flexibility options.”
The cloud PC allows users to continue working on any device they want. They get the same tools and experience from all devices.
