Microsoft threatens to revive Clippy as Office mothers

Microsoft is threatening to bring it back irritating lovable Clippy character. The software giant claims it will replace the Microsoft Office paper clip with emoji Clippy if the tweet below gets 20,000 likes. Tweet has already passed 9,000 likes, so Clippy may be returning to more innocent mothers.

Born in Office 97, Clippy initially appeared as an assistant to provide help and tips for using Microsoft Office. You loved or hated Groucho’s eyebrows and perseverance, and Microsoft eventually killed Clippy in Office XP in 2001.

So will we finally see Clippy return to Microsoft Office? Microsoft is currently holding Clippy hostage behind a tweet that needs 20,000 likes. As each YouTuber says, press the corresponding button Verge readers and we find out what’s going on.
