The 90s are back with Netflix’s latest horror movies. A trilogy of films based on the RL Style classic Fear Street the book series is coming to the streaming service in July. Plan your scary movie nights accordingly: part of the debut on July 2, followed by a sequel on the 9th and 16th.
Here is the basic setting according to Netflix:
In 1994, a number of teenagers discover that horrific events that have haunted their city for generations can be intertwined – and that they can be the next targets. Based on RL Stine’s best-selling horror series, the trilogy follows a nightmare through the gloomy history of Shadyside.
Each film covers a different period. The first takes place in 1994, while the sequel deals with 1978 and – of course – 1666.
Fear Street The books were originally introduced in 1989 and were a more teenage counterpart to hit albums and highly influential With chicken series that helped make Stine a household name. In the year 2015, Stine said Limit that “I didn’t want to be scary either. I just wanted to be funny.”
