Netflix’s live-action Assassin’s Creed series lands for Die Hard author



Assassin’s Creed Video game franchising has so far sold over 155 million copies. It’s no shock that Netflix would want to take on this long-running action-adventure series, even if its first film show was boring. The streamer tries to make sure it gets hit with its upcoming live action series by grabbing a favorite fan of fans.

Variety says Jeb Stuart has joined Assassin’s Creed Netflix series. Stuart is known e.g. Be tenacious, Another 48 hours.and A refugee. He recently created the Netflix series Vikings: Valhalla, a sequel to the History Channel series The Vikings.

This upcoming series is part of an agreement between Netflix and Ubisoft. The two companies have jointly developed content based on the franchising activities of some of their best-selling video games. The streamer recently announced that he has subscribed to anime series Far Cry and Captain Laserhawk: Blood Dragon Remix. There is also Sirpalesolu also anime series under development.

Interestingly, the latest installment Assassin’s Creed franchising is centered around the Vikings. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released in 2020 and named The Game Awards 2020 for Best Action / Adventure. Could this series go directly to this story, given Stuart’s history with this material?
