So in addition to watching Ted Lasso, is missing Log on Wednesdays and keeping my Paramount Plus subscription up to date so I can watch a very underrated program Good fight, I’m still going through Clear. I’m in the middle of season 2, and the plot has become strangely complicated, but the performance is still so cheesy that I have to see how things end up. Of course, we expect Netflix to say whether there will be periods after the third season of the series, but recent developments look promising.
For the latest trailers:
Y: The last man
The long-awaited show, based on the comic book series of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, is finally coming. Every mammal in the world with a Y chromosome is suddenly wiped out, except for a dude named Yorick (unfortunately) and his pet monkey, and of course chaos ensues. The series features Ben Schnetzer, Ashley Romans, Olivia Thirlby and Diane Lane Y: The last man (what FX has said would be all women management). It will arrive at FX in Hulu on September 13th.
Venom: Let there be massacre
There’s a lot of carnage in this 2018 sequel Poison, but the title also refers to Carnage, a former serial killer who also becomes the host of a foreign symbiote and (our hero?) the enemy of Venom. Starring Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams and Naomie Harris Venom: Let there be massacreDirected by Andy Serkis. It will hit theaters this fall.
I’ve worried in the past about the difference between teasers (short) and trailers (longer), but here comes the “date notice”. At some point we’ll probably get a teaser and / or trailer for season 2 very fun and flashy Large, but so far we get Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult ‘s trade books in seasonal outfits. Large returns to Hulu on 19 November.
Army of Thieves
Of all the characters in Zack Snyder’s summer zombie movie Army of the Dead to get the prequel, Safe Dieter … wasn’t the first thing I thought. Here, he’s a bank reporter who gets into a criminal organization and who wants to break safes all over Europe (and he’s heard something about the outbreak of America that turns people into carnivores. And for information
trailer, sorry teaser, only shows zombies in “news reports”. Written by Snyder and directed by Dieter himself, aka Matthias Schweighöfer, Army of Thieves Also starring Nathalie Emmanuel and Ruby O.Fee. There is no release date yet, but it will be coming to Netflix soon.
The assassin is poisoned just before hitting an Asian bad guy, and he has a few hours to find out who killed him. I’m not sure if the plot of the “assassin” seems familiar and a little tired, or if it’s just particularly worrying to watch a white woman kill Asians on screen when accelerates violence against AAPI people in the real world, but this trailer doesn’t do it for me. Maybe I’m wrong (it’s known to happen) when this is just two minutes and 45 seconds from the movie. Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Woody Harrelson and Miku Martineau Cover, which will be coming to Netflix on September 10th.
