One of the most interesting things Fantastic – a Final Fantasy-type role-playing game introduced at Apple Arcade earlier this year – how it combined two industry legends. Hironobu Sakaguchi served as the group’s creative leader handmade adventure, while for a long time Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu returned to the soundtrack. Now all this beautiful music is finally available for streaming Apple Music.
It’s also a hefty album with 58 tracks covering over two and a half hours of music and a wide range of genres. Before FantasticUematsu released his release that he was concerned that this might be his last soundtrack. “Do I get another chance to work on the whole game?” he said. “I didn’t want to be sorry.” Sakaguchi expressed similar concerns, narrative Limit: “Let’s be honest, I’m in the latter chapters of my game development career, and every game can take years to go from concept to release.”
Fantastic is currently available to Apple Arcade subscribers, and another part that complements the story, is also under development.
