The Realme 8 series, including Realme 8 and Realme8 Pro, was launched in India last month. A few weeks after its debut, the Shenzhen-based company launched Realme 8 5G as the latest addition to the series. The Realme 8 5G comes as an upgrade to the vanilla Realme 8 with 5G SoC and a display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. All three phones have Android 11 running Realme UI 2.0 on top and all have 16 megapixel front cameras.

Realme 8 5G price starts from Rs. 14999 For 4GB and 128GB storage options. The phone also has an 8GB + 128GB storage option priced at Rs. 16999. it is was launched Available in Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue.
Realme 8 is available in 4GB and 128GB storage configurations priced at Rs. 14999, 6GB + 128GB storage model priced at Rs. 15999 and a high-end 8GB + 128GB storage option priced at Rs. 16999. The phone has Cyber Black and Cyber Silver color options.
Realme 8 Pro is a 6GB and 128GB storage option priced at Rs. 17999 and 8GB + 128GB storage model which costs Rs. 19,999. Realme has offered the phone in Infinite Black and Infinite Blue color options, and a glowing yellow color option that glows in the dark.

Starting with the display, the Realme 8 5G features a 6.5-inch full-HD + (1080×400 pixels) screen with a 20: 9 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and is protected by Dragontrail glass. Meanwhile, both the Realme 8 and Relame 8 Pro feature 6.4-inch Full-HD + (1080×400 pixels) Super AMOLED displays with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent. They are all dual SIM (Nano) phones running on Android 11 and Realme UI 2.0.
Under the hood, the Realme 8 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics card and up to 8GB of LPDDR4x memory. The handset also gets DRE technology, which is advertised to convert storage space to virtual RAM for smoother multitasking. By comparison, the Realme 8 comes with an eight-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC and a Mali-G76 MC4 graphics card. It has up to 8GB of LPDDR4x memory. The Realme 8 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC and Adreno 618 GPU, and has up to 8GB of LPDDR4x memory.
The Realme 8 5G comes with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage as standard, which also supports expansion with a microSD card via a separate card slot. Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro get up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, which can also be expanded through separate microSD card slots.
In the optics department, the Realme 8 5G carries a triple rear camera accentuated by 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensors with an f / 1.8 lens. The other two cameras include a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f / 2.4 portrait lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f / 2.4 macro lens.
The Realme 8 comes with a quad-size rear camera that includes a 64-megapixel main sensor with an f / 1.79 lens, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f / 2.25 lens, and a 119-degree field of view (FoV), a 2-megapixel macro shooter f / 2.4- with an aperture and a 2 megapixel black and white sensor with an f / 2.4 aperture. The Realme 8 Pro features a configuration of four rear cameras highlighted by a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor with an f / 1.88 lens. Other cameras are the same as Realme 8.
All three phones have 16 megapixel sensors for selfie and video chat. However, the Realme 8 5G gets an f / 2.1 lens. The Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro have f / 2.45 aperture lenses.
Realme has supplied a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W quick charge technology to the Realme 8 5G. The Realme 8 has a 5000 mAh battery with 30 W Dart Charge. The Realme 8 Pro includes a 4500 mAh battery with a 50 W SuperDart Charge.
The Realme 8 5G has dimensions of 162.5×74.8×8.5mm and weighs 185 grams. By comparison, the Realme 8 measures 160.6×73.9×7.99 mm and weighs 177 grams. The Realme 8 Pro, on the other hand, is 160.6×73.9×8.1 mm and weighs 176 grams.
The Realme 8 5G gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS / A-GPS and USB Type-C port. Both the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro have display fingerprint sensors, dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth v5, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jacks, and USB Type-C ports for connectivity.
