In honor of the success of the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, game streaming and eSports platform Rooter hosts one of India’s largest Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Tournaments-Rooter Pro Scrims-21.-27. August 2021, where the top 40 teams from across India will take part in a week-long tournament. Rooter has partnered with Wings Lifestyle, the company that hosts the event, which is an Indian manufacturer of low-latency gaming headphones. The tournament will be held in two stages and will win 2,500,000 rubles.
According to Rooter, the initial stage will take place during the first four days of the tournament. Teams play three matches a day. The winning team wins 40,000 rubles, while the second-placed team receives 30,000 rubles and the third-place finisher 20,000 rubles. The most valuable player in the first round will receive 10,000 rubles.
In the second (or “conqueror”) stage, the winning teams will receive a prize of 60,000 rubles. The teams that secure second place will receive 35,000 rubles. The third-placed team will receive 25,000 rubles and the fourth-place finisher 10,000 rubles. The most valuable player and team in the second round will each receive 10,000 rubles. The best performer of the day or the winner of the Wings Phantom of the day title will be awarded 5,000 rubles and Wings Phantom Bluetooth headphones.
For the ignorant, Battlegrounds Mobile India is an online multiplayer game Battle Royale developed and published by Krafton. The game has three modes – Solo, Duo and Squad Battle Royale. In Battle Royale mode, multiple teams play on a single map. Launched on July 2, 2020, the main goal of the game is to find a better catch and survive by being the only team to be alive in the match. The game is exclusively for the Indian market.
