Samsung has added a new affordable 5G phone to its Galaxy A series for the first time in India. The Galaxy A22 5G has been released for months after that Galaxy M42 5Gs (review) release, which to date was Samsung’s most affordable 5G phone.

The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is priced at Rs 19999 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage models and Rs 21,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB memory models. The phone comes in gray, mint and purple color options.
It is available for purchase from the company’s online store in India as well as the largest online stores. For offers, people can get a refund of Rs 1,500 if they have HDFC Bank cards.

The new Galaxy A2 5G comes with a 6.6-inch Full HD + display with a drop of water and a 90 Hz refresh rate. Unlike the recently released Galaxy A22 4G, it is not based on an AMOLED display panel.
It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, which is also featured in the Poco M3 Pro 5G, Realme 8 5G and Redmi Note 10T 5G. The phone has two RAM / storage options: 6GB / 128GB and 8GB / 128GB. The internal storage can be expanded with a microSD card by up to 1 terabyte.
The front of the camera has three rear cameras arranged in a square camera module. The main camera is 48 megapixels in size, which is offered together with a 5 megapixel ultra-wide and 2 megapixel macro lens. There is an 8 MP front camera.
The Galaxy A22 5G has a 5000 mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging and uses the Samsung One UI 3.1 operating system based on Android 11. It has Wi-Fi. Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, GPS and more.
