For the first time, Samsung is integrating its Tizen operating system with Google’s WearOS system to introduce a new platform called One Watch UI. The company’s latest Galaxy Watch 4 series is the first to use this new platform. With this new platform, Samsung has completely discontinued support for iOS devices, reported ArsTechnica. The report also revealed that older Galaxy smartwatches will continue to operate as before, as Tizen OS will not end iOS support.

In addition, the One Watch interface also does not support Android smartphones running Android 5.0 and earlier. The report also suggests that Google’s mobile services, including Play services and Game store must be on the device for it to work because of the WearOS kernel.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic run on Google’s new WearOS and Samsung Tizen OS integrated platform called One UI Watch 3. The Galaxy Watch4 40mm and Galaxy Watch4 Classic 42mm have a 1.2 “AMOLED screen 396 x 396 pixel resolution.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch4 44mm and Galaxy Watch4 Classic 46mm sport a 1.4-inch AMOLED display that offers 450 x 450 pixels. Both smart watches have 5 ATM water resistance and Gorilla Glass DX protection.

It can now constantly monitor your breathing and snoring patterns. Samsung introduced a new body composition measurement feature that “shows what our body is made of”. The smartwatch also comes with an ECG, blood oxygen and blood pressure monitor.

The two smartwatches feature the Exynos W920 chipset and offer up to 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Watch4 40mm and Galaxy Watch4 Classic 42mm are powered by a 247 mAh battery, while the Galaxy Watch4 44mm and Galaxy Watch4 Classic 46mm have a 361mAh battery.
