Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7 FE is officially coming to the U.S. on Thursday starting with the 5G version, and the Wi-Fi model is expected in a few weeks, the company has announced. Disassembled FE or “Fan Edition” version information from Samsung flagship tablet from last year have been public since the tablet’s listing appeared in its German store in May, but now we have complete information on its pricing and availability in the United States.
The first version of the Galaxy Tab S7 FE to be released in the United States is its 5G model. It will be available to order from Thursday, August 5 from AT&T, Verizon and Samsung’s own online store. Prices start at $ 669. It will also be available from other retailers as well as T-Mobile and US Cellular “in the coming days” according to Samsung. Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi model is cheaper, at $ 529, and will be released in early September. Pre-orders for the Wi-Fi version will open on Thursday. This equates to a $ 649 starting price for the Tab S7 Wi-Fi or $ 849 for its 5G version.
The big selling point of the Tab S7 FE is its large 12.4-inch screen, which is the same size as last year’s $ 849 Tab S7 Plus, even though it’s an LCD screen and not an OLED. Internally, the 5G version of the Tab S7 FE features the Snapdragon 750G, while the Wi-Fi version features the Qualcomm SM7325 chipset. The specifications are complemented by 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and a 10,090 mAh battery. There is an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a 5 megapixel camera on the front, oriented so that it is up when you use the tablet horizontally. The box also has an S Pen, which is useful for taking notes and sketching.
In addition to the Tab S7 FE, Samsung has also announced that the 5G version of the Galaxy Book Go laptop will be available from AT&T and Verizon this month. AT&T pre-orders open Aug. 5, while Verizon availability begins Aug. 13. AT&T sells the laptop for $ 799.99. It will be pre-orderable on August 5th and will be available “in the coming weeks,” AT&T says.
