Messaging application Telegram has received a new update that brings users several features. The highlight of the update is the ability to add up to 1,000 people to a video call called group video calls 2.0. Group video calling 2.0 allows 30 people to send video from both the camera and the monitor. The other 70 can attend a video call session. The limit is expected to increase over time.
There’s also a new Video Messaging 2.0 that allows people to record video messages in high resolution. It also has the ability to fast forward or rewind the video message. To record a video message, press and hold the microphone icon, and the voice message becomes a video message.
The media player of the application now supports 0.5x, 1.5x and 2x playback speeds. Its Android app also supports 0.2x speeds. Users can also switch to different timestamps in the video to accurately split the link from the time allocated.
People can also share their screens for personal video calls. In addition, there are more features.
New automatic deletion of messages after one month and automatic deletion of messages after a day or a week.
You can now accurately draw on photos and videos with a brush that can be resized. The app also includes new password animations and password reset reminders.
Additional features include message sending animations on Android, a new in-app camera on iOS, the ability to select multiple recipients on iOS, new animated emojis (including on iOS), and more.
All of these features are now available Telegram users.
