Netflix has released the first trailer and images Sweet tooth, An upcoming adaptation of Jeff Lemire’s comic series of the same name DC / Vertigo, which follows a young hybrid deer boy who befriends a wandering lonely and sets out on an adventure across America ten years after ‘The Great Crumble’ has wreaked havoc on the world.
Ten years ago, the “Great Crumbling” wreaked havoc in the world and led to the mysterious birth of hybrids – babies that were born partly as humans, partly as animals. Many people are afraid and hunt for them, even if the epibrides are the cause or result of the virus. After a decade of living in his safe secluded forest home, a sheltered hybrid boy boy, Gus (Christian Convery), unexpectedly befriends a wandering loner (Nonso Anozie) named Jepperd. Together, they embarked on an extraordinary adventure to the rest of America in search of answers – about Gus ’origins, Jepperd’s past, and the true meaning of home. But their story is full of unexpected allies and enemies, and Gus quickly learns a green and dangerous world outside the forest that is more complex than he could ever imagine.
Sweet tooth premiered on Netflix on June 4, and starring Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Will Forte, Dania Ramirez, Neil Sandilands, Stefania LaVie Owen, Aliza Vellani and James Brolin.
