The A24, an independent U.S. film and TV studio, has been on the rise recently. The film and TV company has knocked it down the park in recent years with critically acclaimed productions such as Euphoria, The Lighthouse, Minari and Saint Maud. It’s probably done something you will enjoy if you pay attention to the world of television and film.
This tube seems to continue if The Green Knight is something over. Less than three months after the film’s planned release, A24 has released a new trailer for their art house fantasy film, based on the legend of King Arthur – and it looks absolutely stunning.
The latest Green Knight image has little action, but it replaces it with a stunning landscape, medieval atmosphere, and strange characters – including a talking fox.
For those unfamiliar with its origins, the Green Knight tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), the nephew of King Arthur, as he begins his quest to face the Green Knight. This individual is a giant, tree-fighting warrior who challenges Sir Gawain to strike him, provided the Green Knight can restore service 366 days later.
The film is based on a 15th-century poem called Surprising, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. You can check out The Green Knight under the new trailer:
Analysis: Will The Green Knight A24 be the next big hit?
All signs are yes. The Green Knight has sparked a lot of online buzz since its trailer was dropped in May 2020, and it has retained a significant amount despite the postponement of your release date due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Several tweets posted to the film’s official Twitter account before the official trailer was released showed that film enthusiasts are still very eager to see The Green Knight. A new poster depicting Sir Pat Gawain of Dev Patel garnered 24,000 likes yesterday (Monday, May 10), while A4 sheets in the film’s support groups also fared quite well.

That’s not all, either. As we mentioned earlier, the A24 has slowly become an indie film company in recent years, and its well-received movies, some of which have even been awarded since 2015, are proof of that.
Despite the fact that A24 wasn’t founded until August 2012, A24 has developed several stunning indie hits in a variety of genres. Moonlight, Minari, and Ex Machina are just three of its back lists that have not only been appreciated by critics and film fans, but have also won gongs at the industry’s biggest awards shows, including Golden Globes and Oscars.
Other notable A24 distribution films have been Under the Skin, Room, Lady Bird, Uncut Gems and Midsommar, which tells the depth of popular indie films the company has helped bring to life.
With two other summer films coming before the Green Knight arrives – the horror film False Positive and the comedy-drama biography Zola – it looks like 2021 could be another big year for A24. The doors to the theater are slowly opening around the world as nations also implement their Covid vaccination program, so The Green Knight cannot be scheduled more perfectly for the A24, as can the production companies Ley Line Entertainment and Bron Studios.
The Green Knight will be released theatrically on July 30th.
