We see Apple pushing towards all the tablets that look iPad Pro area – first iPad Air 4 handed out the older generations of frames and the home button and possibly the next iPad Mini 6 also uses a similar model (and feature set).
This comes from a post on a Korean blog site Naver, from which we often see phone leaks. However, we don’t know the source of the message, so take this touch of salt.
According to the post, the next iPad Mini is a small design version of the iPad Pro with a ” smaller frame than the pro model ” [sic]. The message goes that the iPad Mini is available in silver and gray models and is 5G compatible, although this latter feature is likely to be exclusively for the more expensive version of the tablet compared to the standard Wi-Fi model.
There is some ambiguity here, as the title of the publication mentions a ‘small iPad Pro (iPad mini Pro) version’, while the post refers to slate as ‘iPad Pro mini’. So it’s not clear if this is the standard iPad Mini 6 we were expecting, or its Pro variant, or maybe something completely different – the fact that the title and quotes are translated mechanically doesn’t help.
iPad Mini Pro? iPad Pro Mini?
Just before the launch of the iPad Pro 2021, while we were expecting (but not getting) the launch of the iPad Mini, the fact that the ‘iPad Mini Pro’ was also coming – also started – where this new information is just building.
Not much information was given about the tablet, but it seemed to be the Pro version of the iPad Mini, so the iPad Mini had better data. However, the new data suggests that the tablet could be an iPad Pro Mini or a smaller iPad Pro.
So one real question is whether this tablet belongs to the iPad Pro or iPad Mini lines, which may affect its price, among other things, because the iPad Mini is much cheaper than the Pro siblings.
We have to wait to find out because there have not been too many leaks in this ambiguous product. But stay tuned, and we’ll bring more information when it comes out.
