The Moto G Stylus 5G may finally be around the corner at an affordable price and plenty of storage space

Despite the widely advertised and widely acclaimed diversity of the Android hardware ecosystem, global users aren’t just swimming in the choice of buying a pen-powered smartphone today.

If you can’t afford something like Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or Note 20 series device, not to mention a Galaxy S21 Ultra powerhouse and optional S-pen, you basically have two slightly mediocre options.

Not a flagship

On the bright side, that number could grow to a staggering … three before long, as Motorola seems almost ready to release the first 5G-compatible mid-level member Moto G pen family. Not surprisingly, this is simply and appropriately named the Moto G Stylus 5G According to Nils Ahrensmeier, which is a lesser known leak than Roland Quandt or Steve Hemmerstoffer, but almost as reliable as these heavyweights.

This is probably because the other phone is this 5G-compatible version, which is claimed to hit the U.S. market exclusively … at some point in the near future, the deck will have at least 256 gigs of storage. Before you get too excited about a mere thought a Galaxy Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra– as a competing kind of flagship, note (pun purpose) that the mid-range specifications of the Moto G Stylus 5G may have already revealed several expensive sources as well.
Code name “Denver”, this seems at least a decent competitor the best affordable 5G phone in 2021… on paper. In addition to a built-in stylus that can be useful for a variety of tasks and applications, as well as the aforementioned 256GB local digital collection space, the Moto G Stylus 5G is expected to have a total of four rear-facing cameras.

The four-lens configuration could include a 48-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle snapper, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro camera that doesn’t sound quite different from the “standard” G-pen (2021) offering a kind of inverted L-shaped arrangement.

Good dignity and reasonable price expectations

The square-shaped camera system, located in the upper left corner, of course looks much like the image sensor arrangement behind several other recently released Motorolas, including G100 and Edge S.

Unlike these Snapdragon 870 laptops, the Moto G Stylus 5G (aka Denver) has long been rumored to pack a modest Snapdragon 480 processor. It’s not even as powerful as the Snapdragon 678 found in the non-5G Moto G Stylus (2021) version, but it gives us hope for a similarly reasonable price point, at least in the entry-level 128GB storage configuration.

The rest of the expected features shouldn’t make it too difficult, including a 5,000 mAh battery, 4GB of RAM (likely to start), and the same 6.8-inch 60Hz display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels like 4G LTE – Moto G pen only.

It remains to be seen whether the Moto G Stylus 5G will be able to undercut like $ 400 Motorola One 5G Ace and $ 445 Motorola One 5G, which come faster with the Snapdragon 750 and 765 processors, but apparently do not include any writing accessories as standard.
Unfortunately for everyday smartphone buyers who like competition and choice, the 5G-compatible LG Stylo comes almost certainly never happens, leaving Motorola all alone in small market segments.
