PlayStation 5 DualSense controller is finally changing. Both the red and black variants are coming next month, according to Sony.
The DualSense model has only been available in one style since the PS5 launch in November: the standard white and black versions that came with the console. It looks like Sony may stick to it, given its commitment to the aesthetics of the PS5, but new color models are finally coming.
The most striking option is the Crimson Red DualSense, which has a dark red hue instead of the standard white model. For those who want it darker, the Midnight Black version turns the entire controller black. Both color worlds are inspired by the night sky, and the red version is based on the cosmos.
Both drivers include the same features as a standard DualSense controller, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The update is purely cosmetic.
Sony says the drivers will go on sale sometime in June, but the exact date will vary from dealer to dealer. However, the exact price was not specified for Sony products notification text, The PS Direct listing has risen by confirming the details. Black controller retails for $ 70, while red retails for $ 75. Both will launch on June 11 through that service.
The announcement is good news for gamers who are eager for new options after launching the console. By comparison, Microsoft has released several color options for its Xbox Series X controller since the console was launched.
It’s a touch of good timing because Sony’s DualSense is finally compatible with Apple devices since the last iOS update. Players can now use DualSense Remote Play app on Apple devices thanks to the change.
