Xiaomi has finally released a teaser of Redmi 10 on social media. Although the expected smartphone can be manufactured exclusively for Indian customers, the company has not yet officially disclosed exact details of the Redmi 10. The brand is also ready to introduce Redmi 10 Prime. However, it is not known whether the two smartphones will be published together.
In a social media teaser, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi 10 features an eight-core MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. The official confirmation of the chipset, along with the Helio G96, has been given on Xiaom’s official Twitter handle. The Redmi 10 may be the first smartphone to use the MediaTek Helio G88 with a maximum clock frequency of 2 GHz. It was announced in July this year.

The Helio G88 is an updated version of the Helio G85 released by MediaTek last year. The former has two ARM Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, and supports 90 Hz display, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 memory. MediaTek has connected the Helio G88 to the ARM Mali-G52 MC2 graphics processor with a maximum frequency of 1 GHz.
In a blog post published last week (now removed), Xiaomi had confirmed the inclusion of the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC in Redmi Note 10 with some other smartphone details. Although not confirmed, the same chipset may also be in a future Redmi phone.
Redmi 10 presents 50 MP ultra high resolution main camera, 8 MP ultra wide camera, 2 MP macro camera and 2 MP depth sensor. It comes with a large 6.5-inch display with FHD + resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, AdaptiveSync technology, reading mode 3.0, 5000 mAh battery, 18 W quick charge and 22.5 W charger. The Redmi 10 has three options – 4GB RAM + 64GB, 4GB RAM + 128GB and 6GB RAM + 128GB, priced at $ 179, $ 199 and $ 219.
The Redmi 10 has a sleek design that is smooth to the touch and a pleasure to watch. It is available in three beautiful colors; matte charcoal gray and pebble white, classic, smooth fingerprint resistant surface and beautifully textured shiny Sea Blue.
In addition, the Redmi 10 comes with MIUI 12.5 and offers an immersive sound experience with two speakers. Tipster Mukul Sharma shared some screenshots from the GSM Association’s (GSMA) IMEI database, suggesting the continued development of Redmi 10 Prime alongside vanilla Redmi 10.
Alright. Along with the Redmi 10, Redmi is also launching its Redmi 10 Prime. I have detected an Indian variant of the device on the IMEI database site (CEIR). Startup is immediate.

Redmi 10 Prime has reportedly appeared in the IMEI database under model number 21061119BI. The last letter of the model number indicates that the phone is exclusive to India. Conversely, Xiaom’s global smartphone versions are released under model number “G,” while the number marked exclusively for the Chinese market is “C”.
