Earlier this week, Samsung introduced a new M-series smartphone – the Galaxy M42 5G – in India. The smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, SAMOLED display, 48 MP quad camera kit and 5000 mAh battery. It also has 5G connectivity and is the first Galaxy M series smartphone to support Samsung Payta. Starting midnight on April 30, the Galaxy M42 5G will be available for purchase on Samsung.com and Amazon.in.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 is available in two configurations:
6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option: Rs 21999
8GB RAM + 128GB storage option: Rs 23999
In connection with the launch, Samsung also announced that during the online sales hosted by Amazon in May, the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G will be available at a special price of Rs 199,99 for the 6GB variant and Rs 21,999 for the 8GB variant. During that time, the offer also applies to purchases made through Samsung.com.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 has a 6.6-inch SAMOLED screen. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. The smartphone has 6GB of RAM and 8GB of RAM options; both options offer 128GB of storage that can be expanded to 1TB with a microSD card.
Photography, the Galaxy M42 offers a four-camera rear that includes a 48-megapixel and 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera supports HDR and 4K video recording @ 30 frames per second. For the selfie, the smartphone has a 20 megapixel camera on the front.
The Galaxy M42 has a 5000 mAh battery with 15W quick charge support. The smartphone works on an Android 11-based OneUI 3.1 device.
