The supposed Snapdragon brand Asus gaming phone is online

In the fourth quarter of 2020, we saw a glimpse of a potential partnership between Qualcomm and Qualcomm Asus the opportunity to one day see a Snapdragon-branded gaming phone. It now seems that this can become a more realistic outcome when deciding what has emerged online.

Namely, they would be images recently sent by the Chinese TENAA regulatory body (via XDA developers), which looks like an Asus phone with the Snapdragon logo, hit the device with the Asus logo on the dead center while holding down the key.

Among the logos visible on the back, we also see what looks like a fingerprint reader, which raises a few questions because the archive mentions the inside of the screen. If we then look at the camera system, we also notice a triple range of cameras that are regulated to have a 64MP main camera.

Other features mentioned for the device include a 12 megapixel front camera, a thick 512GB of solid storage, 16GB of RAM, a fairly small dedicated battery, 3840 mAh, a 6.78-inch OLED display and last but not least a 2.84 GHz battery. an eight-core processor that appears to be the Snapdragon 888. For nostalgic ones, a 3.5mm interface is also mentioned. Android Authority Asus and Qualcomm contacted, the former not commenting on the listing, while the latter has not yet responded.

In this context, it must be borne in mind that, due to the vague nature of this report, it does not necessarily indicate anything other than a prototype or a development platform, as Qualcomm mentioned last year.

No matter what this partnership between the two companies may lead to, it is exciting to see the growing interest and development in the gaming phone industry and its impressive devices.
