Venom: Let There Be Carnage is still on the release track later this year, but development has been very late. Fortunately, it may be changing.
The latest news we received from the off-sequel to Sony’s Spider-Man spin was that its release date had been postponed. However, this dry spell seems to be running out, and several insiders claim the first Venom 2 game trailer arrives today (Monday, May 10).
There’s even talk of a massive superhero camera, but we’re digging this opportunity deeper into the side. If you want to avoid any spoilers For Venom 2, don’t read past the third embedded tweet.
The first person to tease the arrival of the video was Twitter user Amit Chaudhari. Arena Animation VFX artist, who also claims insider information about the superhero productions of Marvel, Disney and Sony, hinted that we would get a first look at the film’s villain in the trailer.
Yep, apparently we see Carnage – played by Woody Harrelson – in the trailer, though Chaudhari didn’t reveal exactly where he appeared:
Are we ready for the first # Carnage review tomorrow? Yes, I’ve been told that we get our first review of #Carnage in the #VomomLetThereBeCarnage teaser trailer unlike the Teaser Trailer in the 1st movie, which had left fans disappointed after seeing #Venom in it. pic.twitter.com/Z7pvxe8W2oMay 9, 2021
Chaudhar’s tweet was quickly followed by leaked Daniel RPK.
Daniel RPK has mediocre experience in correcting leaked information, so we would normally have been skeptical of this claim. However, given that other insiders report the same issue, it is likely that this is correct:
Other Twitter users, including the Marvel Latin News Twitter account, have found official merchandise on the shopDisney website.
We’ve made sure the Disney online store also has a Venom: Let There Carnage t-shirt that you can see here. All indications are an increase in sales of the Venom sequel, after which this data declines:

In addition to inside information Reddit users have found that Venom: Let Carnage has appeared online. Currently, users ’access to the home page is restricted, but it’s no coincidence that the film’s official website has released a seemingly instant trailer.
It is unclear whether the trailer will be dropped today, but all signs point to this event. If it arrives, we will update this article so you can be one of the first to review it.
Venom: Let Carnage may include a Spider-Man thumbnail
However, perhaps the biggest surprise of the trailer is the obvious Spider-Man camera. By Reddit users who have subscribed to Daniel RPK’s Patreon page, Tom Holland appears in a teaser.
How would this be possible? Everything is related to MCU phase 4 and in particular Spider-Man: No way home. As we’ve previously reported, the third MCU Spider-Man movie is going to be a huge Spider-Verse crossover event where several villains – and possibly other live activities Spiders – set to appear in a movie.
The arrival of Doc Ock and Electron from previous Spider-Man movie adaptations is apparently due to the disintegration of the MCU, which apparently sees a collision of different realities and allows several Spider-Man incarnations and enemies to leak into it. This was slightly referred to in Spider-Man: Far From Home, which featured miniature JK Simmons’s J. Jonah Jameson, who originally appeared in Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy.
No Way Home is also tied to events Doctor Strange Madness in the Multiverse. This sequel sees the Sorcerer Supreme attempt to reverse reality and the disintegration of many universes. Before that, though, Dr. Strange screens at No Way Home as he explores why other dimensions leak into the MCU (as we know it anyway).
What does all this have to do with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man appearing in Venom 2? This affects the “breakdown of reality” plot that Marvel Studios and Disney have set for much of stage 4.
Michael Keaton’s vulture is already appeared in the trailer for another Morbius movie, another Sony Pictures Marvel movie showing Sony’s Spider-Verse has multi-directional ties to the MCU. If other realities collide with the MCU – because of the Avengers: Endgame events – it makes sense that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man can also be pushed into Sony’s Spider verse.
We have previously speculated that this can be done by analyzing what No Way Home title doesn’t mean. In short, part of the article: we think Dutchman Peter Parker could end up with a Sony Spider verse permanently following No Way Home events, which could set up his Venom 2 camera.
Of course, Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be released before No Way Home, so this cameo rumor dampens our speculation. However, the Dutch web link can show up on Venom 2, even if it’s just a minute or two of fun on Kameo.
We really don’t know how people like Doc Ock and Electron have known about MCU. If they have traveled there through some sort of portal, the Dutch Spider-Man may accidentally crash into one of these multidimensional doorways and find himself in Venom 2. It only takes him a moment to realize that he is in a different universe, see Venom and Carnage fighting each other and deciding to go back through the portal through which he arrived.
Like we said, it would be a humorous thumbnail, if nothing else, and it would certainly show Daniel RPK’s Spider-Man rumor is correct. Hopefully we don’t have much to wait any longer to see if this is true if the Venom 2 trailer arrives today.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is scheduled to arrive on September 24th.
