NBC’s hit drama series Here we are is coming to an end according to its sixth season Hollywood Reporter. Although NBC has not yet made an official announcement, it will come on Friday when the network presents its fall schedule for the television season 2021-2022.
News Here we are ending next year, is not too surprising, as the series’ creator Dan Fogelman has spoken several times before about the six seasons of his show and already knowing its end. In 2019, NBC renewed the series for another three years after the end of the third season, when Fogelman called it the “centerpiece” of the series, which now appears to be quite literal with the sixth and final season.
Here we are follows the Pearson family, played by Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley and Chrissy Metz, for decades of their lives. The series jumps back and forth through periods to show Ventimiglia and Moore’s Jack and Rebecca Pearson struggling with raising three children, the trio’s adult difficulties in personal and professional life, and even teasing their and their children’s common distant futures. Also starring in the series are Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan and Jon Huertas.
In the next six seasons Here we are has been one of the biggest hits on online TV, with a strong audience each week and has garnered several awards and nominations from several sources, including Brown as the first season of the series as Outstanding Lead, along with several actors in the cast categories alongside directing and writing names.
