Zack Snyder is back with his second film in 2021, and this is as explosive as his Defenders of justice entry. This time, the filmmaker dives into the zombie subspecies and reinvented it completely. Join critic EJ Moreno for an in-depth discussion of why Army of the Dead is the best zombie movie in a while.

Watch the video below as EJ breaks all the wonders of Netflix’s new movie …

An army of the dead takes place after a zombie epidemic that has left Las Vegas in ruins and fenced off from the rest of the world. As casino manager Bly Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada) approaches Scott Ward (Dave Baut), who has moved from Vegas, a former zombie war hero who now turns burgers on the edge of the city he now calls home. Go to a zombie-contaminated quarantine area to get $ 200 million sitting in a vault under a strip before the government robs the city in 32 hours. Hoping that victory can help pave the way for reconciliation with his estranged daughter Kate (Ella Purnell), Ward accepts the challenge and assembles a group of robbery experts for the robbery.

These include Maria Cruz (Ana de la Reguera), an ace mechanic, and Ward’s old friend; Vanderohe (Omari Hardwick), killing zombies; Marianne Peters (Tig Notaro), cynical helicopter pilot; Mikey Guzman (Raúl Castillo), a broken influencer and Chambers (Samantha Win), on his ride or death; Martin (Garret Dillahunt), Casino Security Manager; a badass warrior known as the Coyote (Nora Arnezeder) who recruits Burt Cummings (Theo Rossi), a slimy guard; and a great German saffron called Dieter (Matthias Schweighöfer). Scott finds an unexpected emotional hurdle when Kate joins an expedition to search for her lost mother, Geta (Huma S. Qureshi), inside the city. With a ticking clock, a notoriously impenetrable vault, and a smarter, faster closure of a flock of alpha zombies, only one thing is certain of the greatest robbery of all time: the survivors take it all.
