Vivo introduced the new smartphone Vivo Y72 5G in India yesterday, July 15th. Its key specifications and pricing suggest that it competes with the Realme 8 Pro. The Indian variant of the Vivo Y72 5G differs from the Thai model released in March this year. Behind the Thai variant is the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, the Indian model is used by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC.

In India, the Y72’s 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage is priced at Rs 20,990. It is available in Prism Magic and Slate Gray color options.

Availability of Vivo Y72 5G in India

It is available offline and online through Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Chrome, Tatacliq, Bajaj EMI Store and Vivo India online store, among others. The company offers its customers a one-time screen exchange system (Rs 999 for 6 months) and free EMI Purchase Options (up to 12 months) along with other offers.

Technical specifications for the Vivo Y72 5G India

Vivo Y72 works with Android 11-based FuntouchOS 11.1. It has a 6.58-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 2408×1080 pixels, an LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It comes with a microSD card slot to expand the storage space up to 1 TB. It also offers a virtual 4GB of RAM. At the back is a configuration of two cameras, including a main camera with a 48-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor inside the camera module.

It weighs 185.5 grams and includes a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W quick charge support.
