Netflix has dropped the latest pre-trailer animated Witcher a prequel that gives us a better picture of the characters in the film and allows us to hear its English voice actors for the first time.
Witcher: The wolf’s nightmare focuses on Geralt’s mentor, Vesemir, probably a young witch who enjoys killing monsters in the early life of coins, according to a summary by Netflix. The plot details available are thin, but in the film Vesemir encounters a “strange new monster” and “demons of his past” politically filled with a kingdom. (So far so Witcher.)
The film is made by Korean animation house Studio Mir, which has previously handled several Netflix animations, including Dota: The blood of the dragon and Voltron: Legendary defender, as well as presentations Korran legend. The trailer includes a fun nod Witcheris infamous bath meme, With Vesemir instead of Geralt enjoying a nice soak.

The cast includes Theo James as Vesemir, Lara Pulver as Tetra, Graham McTavish as Deglan and Mary McDonnell as Lady Zerbst. The film is written and produced by Beau DeMayo and co-producer Witcher sHowrunner and corresponding producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, directed by Kirang Il Han at Studio Mir.
Looking forward to seeing more Witcher Netflix content in the future, a live-action spinoff in works and the second season of the main show, starring Henry Cavill Rivia Geraltina, arrives on December 17th. That’s no surprise Witcher was Netflix the most popular first season ever when it debuted (although Bridgerton has since stolen this record). You threw a coin at your witch, and Netflix will be happy to deliver.
