Which are the best Ethics Integrity and Aptitude classes for the UPSC civil services?

Contents

I have given my Prelims this year and am preparing for Mains. So, I presume I am the right person to answer this question. For a course that is as tactical as Ethics Integrity and Aptitude it is important to have the right and unique approach. You cannot confuse it with the other three GS papers.

I kickstarted my preparation for GS-IV (Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude) by watching a few videos of Mr. Tirthankar Roychowdhary. Here are a few links:

  • Integrity is a value that empowers the human being by Tirthankar sir – https://youtu.be/oPFfHw4ieRA
  • Difference between Honesty and Integrity – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skxri–caS8
  • UPSC Mains 2021 Ethics Paper Discussion & Analysis –  https://youtu.be/NN-9UB_KeCA

I was pretty impressed with the way Roy sir use to teach – so lucid and understandable unlike other teachers who tend to scare you off by using such complex terminology. After seeing a few more videos, I decided to opt for Roy sir’s Ethics course with the name “Ethics GS4 Foundation course”. The course encompasses about 50 classes each of 2.5 hour duration.

We started with the basics – an introduction to Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude and are currently doing Ethics and Human interface.

A methodical schedule has been provided as per which the entire course will be cover in 10 weeks. In between, Roy sir takes around 5 sectional tests to test our caliber. None of the students is allow to skip a test as per this very schedule.

Our answer copies are evaluated in a day’s time by Eden IAS’s expert evaluators.

They keep in mind the stringent checking standard prevailing in the Civil Services Examination and provide individual feedback to students to improve their answers. I am so glad to have opted for this course. I highly recommend you to get enrolled in this course. There is no iota of doubt that Roy sir is the best teacher for Ethics and Eden IAS, the best coaching institute.

It is believed that “the most scoring yet the toughest paper of the UPSC CSE Mains is Ethics”. And I cannot agree more. I and my wife started preparing for Ethics simultaneously with Prelims 2021.

Initially, we both followed the same strategy as we used to for the three GS papers. We completed the syllabus with a hell number of doubts in mind.

At this point in time, we had opted for no coaching. After a few painstaking mock tests, we realized that we are as good as nothing when it comes to attempting Ethics. And this very relief materialized when we both couldn’t make it through Mains. This year, we decided to learn from our mistakes.

I looked up material other than the authoritative traditional one online. I am so grateful to the Almighty that I stumbled upon this video:

Integrity by Tirthankar sir – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQH5Kzy6fKg

What a teacher he is! Me and my wife, we both were so impressed by his way of teaching. I immediately looked upon if he takes an offline course and to our elation, he did.

We both got enrolled in the “Ethics GS4 Foundation course” by  Mr. Tirthankar Roychowdhary. He is one of the main faculty members at Eden IAS, a coaching institute located in Karol Bagh, Delhi.

The course promises to cover the entire syllabus in 50 classes earmarked with 5 sectional tests. I loved the schedule they handed over to us. Attaching a photo of it:

The duration of this course is 10 weeks and currently, we are studying Human Interface. The duration of each of the classes is 2.5 hours and we are surprised that nobody feels sleepy throughout the flow of the class.

Such is the way of teaching of Roy sir. So, in my opinion, the “Ethics GS4 Foundation” course qualifies as the best Ethics class for the UPSC civil services.
